Every Group is Different
One of the advantages of being an independent broker focused on groups under 50 is getting to know what actually matters to each one.
There's a group with 6 employees that offers a platinum plan and covers the entire premium for each employee. They're happy with the plan, they're not price sensitive, and they're not really interested in other options.
Then there's a group with 15 employees offering two plans, both at the bronze level. Their team looks nothing like the first group's, and their plan choice reflects that. They're younger, they carry more overhead, and cost matters.
I've brought up ICHRA and/or PEO with groups like the second one, but sometimes people aren't looking for a change.
That's the value of having the conversation.
